These days, we've all become so used to the web being a big part of our lives -- but there was a time (not too long ago) when it was all very new to all of us.  If you ever want to have some fun, go to the Internet Archive and look up some of your favorite websites to see how they looked back in 2005 -- or even way back in 2000.

Back in the year 1998, past and present residents of Woodhaven were gathering online to discuss our favorite neighborhood on a message board called Woodhaven Online.  Woodhaven Online was being reminisced about over at the Yahoo Group today and, curious, we went in search for it -- hoping that we'd find a tiny remnant of that board buried in a cache somewhere on the web.  Surprisingly, we found this page, which contains some comments from the years 1998 through 2000.  For those of you who used to browse or participate in that board, you might get a kick out of going way back in time to read those comments.  And even if you've never seen that board, you might be interested -- there is a lot of reminiscing, and you might see a few names that you recognize.

From what we understand, the board eventually suffered due to an abundance of fighting -- and finally collapsed.  So this is an interesting look at Woodhaven's more recent past.

Anyway, while we were at it, we did some more digging and came across a whole bunch of other archived pages of Woodhaven Online, which we present to you here.  Woodhaven Online may have burned out, but it blazed a trail on the Web for Woodhaven, and it's nice to see that the pages live on.

Note: It's particularly interesting (and chilling) to read the month of September 2001, especially the posts from early that dreadful morning on September 11th.  There was a fairly nondescript argument going on -- and then the next post reads:

Is everyone all right.....Please God let everyone from Woodhaven be all right...
Everyone check in

From that moment on, everything was different.  Be warned - some of the language gets a little rough :-)  Ladies and Gentlemen, we present Woodhaven Online, 2001 through 2003.
