Here's a wonderful blast from the past brought to us by our very own Joe Virgona.  By the way, here's wishing a Very Happy 61st Wedding Anniversary to Joe and his lovely wife Susan!

Next weekend, on Sunday October 18th, Woodhaven will once again head to Jamaica Avenue for the Annual Wonderful Woodhaven Street Fair.  This year, 2009, will mark the 29th year that Woodhaven has held this bash and it will run from 11 AM to 6 PM from 80th Street all the way to Woodhaven Boulevard.  Below is the poster from the 2nd Annual Street Fair, back in 1981.  As you can see, it only ran for 5 blocks -- which is by no means small -- but much less than half the size that it is today.
