SAVE THE FOREST PARK CAROUSEL
This news comes to us via David Quintana of Lost in the Ozone -- the fate of the Forest Park Carousel is hanging in the balance. According to David, the Forest Park Administrators are trying to secure "matching fund" to renovate and rehabilitate the Carousel. In order for this to be successful they need a strong show of support from the community.
Here's how you can help:

2) If you are coming to the next Woodhaven Town Hall (July 21st), bring a stamp and an envelope! We will have copies of the letter to sign.
3) If you are on Facebook, join our Save The Forest Park Carousel page. Share your memories on that page. Share your words of support. Even if you just type "Please save the Carousel" -- it will mean a lot. We will get all those memories into the right hands.
4) Volunteer! We are going to be on Jamaica Avneue getting folks to sign letters of support along with a petition. We need folks to help us do this. Basically, we choose a nice day and you stand on a corner and ask people to sign up. It's not hard work and it's a great way to be part of the community. E-mail us if interested!
5) And finally, if all else fails -- send us an email. We'll print it out and get it into the right hands.
Generations of Woodhaven Residents grew up on this beautiful piece of art -- lets do what we can to make sure the furture generations of Woodhaven can say the same.
