Jamaica Avenue in the 40's - Answers

Were you able to guess what streets are shown below?  The pictures were taken in the 1940s -- but some may easily recognize the street shown below at left as 89th Street and Jamaica Avenue (North) -- which would later be home to The Circus Bar.  And the spot at righ is the corner of 77th Street and Jamaica Avenue (North).  Scroll down to compare. 

As for these pictures, the one below at bottom left is the Forest Park Cafe, or as it's known today -- Mike's Pub at the corner of 80th Street and Jamaica Avenue (North).  And the Bar and Grill from the 1940's is between 88th and 89th Streets, across from Monsignor Mulz Hall.  Back in the 40's, Msr. Mulz Hall was the Roosevelt Theater, so this Bar and Grill probably got a lot of business from people waiting for the movie, or maybe after.
