Pictures of the Picnic Area in Forest Park where the Woodhaven Residents' Block Association will hold their 1st Annual Block Party on Saturday, June 23rd from 11 AM to 6 PM.  We expect to be on the side of the picnic area closest to the Carousel -- there are a lot of tables and barbecues -- see the pictures below, the grills are new and appear to be in good working order.  We will have a few wire brushes for cleaning of the grills.  Please be courteous to your fellow party goers and share your barbecue space.

There will be a safety event starting at 10 AM that runs until 1 PM -- there will be Free VIN etching, a bike helmet giveaway for kids, a Fire Smokehouse to educate children what to do in the event of a fire.  

We will be holding a few workshops for games for the kids -- Simon Sez, May I and Red Light Green Light are currently on the agenda.  We will also get a Skully / Skelly board together and get a game going.  There will also be a Face painter for the kids -- and there will be a Magic Show at 2 and 4 PM over at the greatest ride in Queens -- the Forest Park Carousel.

The WRBA will be providing free hot dogs (while supplies last -- but we will have a lot of them) and a few other items -- but like any block party of old, if you want to eat a lot, bring food.  Most people we've spoken to are bringing their own food -- hamburgers, chicken, salad, etc.

Reminder -- there is no smoking allowed in NYC Parks.   Alcohol is not allowed in NYC Parks, either.  And we ask that all attendees to clean up after themselves, and place trash in the proper receptacles.
